Mental Food War

When it comes to loosing weight or managing the weight, majority of you thinking of eating less, following a strict diet, depriving yourself every day. That all there is to do is say no and you will easily achieve your goal.

While this may be true for some of you, most of the time this is not enough. What many of you don’t think about is the constant mental battle that you may be having in your mind.

A battle with food, which looks something like this:

“I deserve the chocolate because I had a good day. Hang on a second. I shouldn’t be having it as I’m fat. I should lose more weight before eating it. But I deserve it! Okay. Just one. Maybe another one and that’s it. Oh well. I eat the whole lot as it doesn’t matter anymore.”

Then of course, you may need to eat something salty, which results in another battle. And before you know it, you shoved down 3 days’ worth of food. Then the guilt and self-punishment kicks in and another mental war begins. It can be a never-ending cycle which can happen every single day.

During the day, before bedtime, straight away after waking up, all you think about is what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat to make sure you don’t put on anymore weight.

I know because I’ve been there.

But the good news is you can win the bottle if you’re ready to face the real problem. The cause of the mental war with food, which is something that you may be missing in your life. Majority of the time it is love, but more specifically, it’s self-love. Hence the sabotage that you do to yourself.
